ABOUT US

Mission: The mission of the Free Clinic is to provide quality health care for the uninsured and under-insured people of Northwest Wisconsin to promote healthy communities.
Vision: Bringing health, hope, and dignity to rural communities- one neighbor at a time.
​
Clinic days are 10am-1pm the first Tuesday of every month.
3:30-7pm all other Tuesdays, except holidays.
​We are also open on occasional Monday Mornings.

At the Rice Lake Area Free Clinic we strive to ​create a healthier community by providing healthcare for uninsured & underinsured people. To date, we have helped over 2,300 individuals directly and many more indirectly. 
​In 2025, we have had 60+ volunteers providing over 3,200 volunteer hours. 


Our Clinic Director

Melissa Price
is a 2001 BSN graduate and a 2006 MSN graduate, both from Edgewood University in Madison WI. She has a rich clinical background including: inpatient medical nursing, Kidney Clinic CNS, Labor/Delivery/Postpartum care, home health, and primary care. She is passionate about health care and wants everyone to be able to access affordable health care in a timely fashion.  Her hobbies include: Gardening, quilting, gathering wild plants to eat, running, walking/hiking. She also has three growing children.

  • Total Patient Encounters: 2,298
  • Patient visits were 1,189 with 446 unique individuals.
  • ​Patients came to us from the following general agreas:
    • ​Barron County- 79%
    • Rusk County- 6%
    • Washburn County 5%
    • Polk County- 3%
    • Sawyer County- 3%
    • Chippewa- 2%
    • Others Combined: 2%
